Tour Plan
Day 1 - Drive from Guwahati Airport to Nameri (Around 5hrs drive)
- Play games, sing songs, enjoy the views
- Overnight stay at Nameri.
- Spend the evening getting to know each other
Day 2 - Nameri – Dirang(Around 5hrs drive)
- Post Breakfast Depart for Dirang.
- Visit the Nichiphula Waterfall and Bomdila Monastery.
- if time permits, visit the Dirang Monastery, known for its fantastic architecture and its rich history.
- Overnight stay at Dirang.
Day 3 - Dirang- Sela Pass - Tawang (Around 5hrs drive)
- After breakfast check out from the stay.
- We drive through one of the highest motor-able passes in the world – Sela Pass, at 13700 feet above sea level
- Spend time at nearby beautiful Sela “Paradise” lake
- Visit Jaswant Garh – a war memorial built in the name of an Indian soldier – Jaswant Singh Rawat, who single – handedly fought the Chinese soldiers near the Sela Pass during the Sino-Indian War 1962
- Check-in for overnight stay
Day 4 - Tawang local exploration
- After breakfast, depart to explore the town of Tawang.
- Visit Urgelling Monastery is considered the birthplace of the Dalai Lama VI. This 400-year old Gompa holds great significance among the Buddhist people.
- Visit to Tawang Monastery, Largest monastery in India & was built in 1681
- Visit Giant Buddha Statue & then Tawang War Memorial – l which is dedicated to the Indian soldiers who died in the 1962 war
- Evening is free for leisure.
Day 5 - Visit Bum La Pass near China border, Sangetsar & Penga Teng Tso Lake (around 4 hrs drive)
- Post breakfast, depart for an excursion for Bum la Pass. At 15200 feet above sea level, it is almost permanently under snow cover and can be visited depending on the day’s weather.
- On the way visit to Sangestar Lake which is also known as Madhuri Lake.
- Reach Bumla Pass, Border on India and China- It is a historic and extremely significant military post.
- We also explore to Penga Teng Tso lake.
Day 6 - Tawang to Sangti Valley(around 5hrs drive)
- On the way stop by to catch a view of the mystic Jung Falls a.k.a. Nuranang falls.
- Soak in the beauty of Sangti Valley.
- Overnight at our Riverside stay in Sangti Valley.
Day 7 - Sangti to Guwahati (around 9hrs drive)
- Have an Early Breakfast.
- Enjoy the scenic views & Drive back towards Guwahati.
- Check into Hotel. Enjoy your last evening of this trip- reminiscing the stories from last few days.
Day 8 - Say your Goodbyes With Amazing Trip Memories
- Post breakfast we leave for Airport.
- Depart with loads of beautiful memories.

What is the age limit for Tawang Backpacking?
The age limit for this trip is 18-45.
We will be mailing you the details once you register and creating a whatsapp groups 2 weekens before the trip
Can I come alone?
Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.
Is it safe for a female solo traveller?
It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our events have 60% female participation.
What if I have a medical emergency?
We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.
What is the stay like for Tawang Backpacking?
We will be staying in Hotels & Homestays for the Duration of the trip on twin sharing basis. In an unlikely case of odd number of male/female participants 1 or max 2 rooms will be triple sharing(only where the room is big enough)

We will be having our Breakfast at our stays. Lunches & Dinners we will have locally during our road trip and sightseeing trips. Avg cost of a meal is around ₹200.

The group size will be between 6 – 16 Trippers

- Any additional expenses arising out of unforeseen circumstances like cancellation/ roadblocks/landslides/strike or any other natural causes out of human control or any emergency evacuation expenses will be borne by the travellers
- In case of cancellation of any event due to reasons beyond control (like Natural calamities, riots, political uncertainty, public transport failure etc.), refund shall be payable with respect to the given refund norms.

Cancellation Policy
- If cancellation done by participant prior to 45 days of the Event, 10% of the advance amount will be deducted
- If cancellation done by participant prior to 30 days of the Event, 50% of the advance amount will be deducted
- If cancellation done by participant between 15 to 30 days of the Event, 100% of advance amount will be deducted
- If cancellation done by participant between 7 to 15 days of the Event, 50% of whole trip amount will be deducted
- If cancellation done by participant within 7 days of the Event, 100% of whole trip amount will be deducted
